Bears, we’ve just made a very cool donation — literally. Thanks to your generosity, our partner charity Checkpoint Canarias now has a brand-new, medical-grade Liebherr lab refrigerator purring away in their shiny new facilities near Yumbo Centre.
The next time you pop in for a free, anonymous STD test, this beauty will be there to keep your blood samples (and those of your fellow bears) fresh and ready for analysis. For those who don’t know, Checkpoint Canarias is our long-time partner charity — a safe, welcoming place for sexual health testing and advice in Maspalomas.
Here’s the extra sweet part: we raised 1.526 € this year — nearly 40% more than in 2024! One of the big reasons? That little “+1€” topping option we added at checkout in our online shop. A small click for you, a giant leap for bear-kind. Of course, our beloved official T-shirts and those wild fundraising events during the programme also helped fill the pot.
