Maspalomas Carnival & Bear Carnival 2026: together but not colliding!
We’ve got official confirmation from Maspalomas Town Hall about the dates for the local Carnival 2026—and guess what? As carefully planned (and many times told), there will be no full overlap with Bear Carnival, just a light sparkle on the first weekend: Carnival’s final major event, the Grand Parade, is scheduled for our first Saturday. Is that good or bad? Well, this has happened many times in Bear Carnival’s history, and we think this just gives you extra options to enjoy your holiday. We will also organize an alternative event for that day, away from the crowds.
🗓️ Key Dates:
- Maspalomas Carnival: March 10–22, 2026
- Grand Parade (main event): Saturday, March 21
- Bear Carnival: March 19–29
- Easter Week: March 29–April 5
So what happens on Saturday, March 21?
A fabulous mix of feathers and fur. The Grand Parade will take over the streets with glitter, music, and hundreds of thousands of people. But don’t worry: Bear Carnival has you covered (and even sheltered if you need), no matter your vibe that day.
What Does This Mean for You?
🌈 Love the buzz? Start your holiday early and soak up the Grand Parade energy. It’s one of Spain’s most iconic street festivals, and it happens only once a year.
🧸 Prefer a bear bubble? Our planned bear-only pool party and disco on that day is the perfect escape—with chilled vibes, safe space, and zero glitter fallout.
Travel Tips
Our only advice is not to arrive in Maspalomas on March 21, 2026 after noon. This will come with road closures and busy streets all over the resort. Public transport will not be operational. We will publish a practical guide on how to navigate that Saturday,a s we have done beore.
What’s Next?
Thanks to this early announcement (thanks, Town Hall—we mean it!), we’ll be launching the full Bear Carnival 2026 programme well in advance. That means more time to pick your events, book your flights, and get your gang ready.
So whether you want feathers, fur, or a bit of both, Maspalomas 2026 is shaping up to be one unmissable week.
See you on the island!
